THE VINEYARD & WINERY
The 18-acre vineyard is the largest in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.
The well-drained soil is perfect for Mueller~Thurgau,
Huxelrebe, Ortega, Schoenburger and Siegerrebe which
all do well at Chilford. From Spring pruning, through
Summer flowering to harvest, the seasons are always
interesting in a vineyard.
Chilford's winemaker uses traditional methods with
modern thinking to make and blend the wines to retain
all the natural flavours and character of the grapes.
Take the Vineland Express to the vineyard on one of our
personally guided tours with tastings of award winning
wines and the opportunity to buy as you please.
Stop for coffee, delicious light lunches or traditional
afternoon teas. Browse in the delightful shop for country
foods, wines and related products.
